With its pretty wallpaper and fresh feel, A Little TLC Nail Studio in Guildford started life as quite a different environment – one not as welcoming, as owner Tina Campbell explains. “A year ago, the salon was a dirty garage but now it’s my stunning salon.
“I offer all aspects of nail enhancements, polish, gel and acrylic,” Tina contunies. “I also offer a lash lift and tint treatment. I use The Gel Bottle Inc gel polish, Bio Sculpture Gel, CJP acrylic and LashNV. I specialise in natural nails; I make sure the nail plate is healthy, skin and hands moisturised.
“I like to think the decor is much like the nails I like to create – clean, colourful, perfectly polished and always applied with a passion and skill. I wanted a bright and airy treatment room with the outside coming in so I opted for a ornate wallpaper in silver metallic with big flowers and hummingbirds on it. I have a hint of pale pink here and there for a fresh feel.

“The humming bird theme started when my mum brought me a beautiful cushion with a beaded humming bird on it so I thought hummingbird wallpaper would be fun. Last Christmas a client gave me two glass hummingbirds which hang in my front windows to complete the theme. I chose a few ornate sliver frame for my certificates to complement the wallpaper and black furniture for clean modern lines. Fairy lights frame my floor to ceiling windows for a soft welcoming glow.”
