Amy Watts, of Mimi & Co Nail Artistry, has been busy creating nails inspired by Australia’s Mardi Gras celebrations that took place over the weekend.

“To create this look, I started with the colour blocked accent nail by creating a rainbow glitter line and filling in the spaces with Glitterbels Coloured Acrylic in Carbon Black. To create the rainbow smoke nails I used a base of MissU black gel polish and over the top I used MissU white gel polish and diffused with some alcohol. When I was happy, I cured this layer and then dusted a section of Fluro Pigments by Just Gel Me into the tacky layer and finished with a no wipe top coat.

“Of course this was design was created to celebrate Mardi Gras 2020. As with most of my designs, it was a joint creative process. My client showed me a few different designs and I just went with it!

“I love how colourful this design is and of course what it represents! I am a strong believer that everyone should have the right to love who they want to love without judgement – love is love. Happy Mardi Gras!”
