Step 1
Apply a cover nude of your choice. I used The GelBottle Inc BIAB in Aurora over the natural nail. Then, using a white highly pigmented gel and a liner brush, mark the middle of the nail at the free edge. You need to think how far down the nail your smile line will be and draw a straight line across. I extended the nail bed and prefer a skinny French.
Step 2
Now you have to mark the highest points of your smile line (the corners). They should be roughly half way between the cuticle and the line that was drawn across. Join the corner points with the middle dot by drawing straight lines.
Step 3
Fill in the lines with white gel, ensuring even coverage and thickness.
Step 4
Round off the corners, perfect the smile line and cure.
Step 5
Top coat and voilà! Your classic French is ready.
